Senior (Director+) Product Manager – Financial Services Surveillance Solutions
The Position
We are seeking a strategic and innovative Senior (Director+) Product Manager to lead the development and evolution of our Surveillance Product for Financial Services. This role is critical in defining and delivering advanced solutions that ensure regulatory compliance, detect misconduct, and enable the use of modern UCaaS platforms.
The ideal candidate will have experience with comprehensive communication surveillance, AI/ML for content classifiers, behavioral analytics, and an understanding of the various regulatory requirements for financial services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy and Vision
- Develop and own the product vision and roadmap for surveillance features in the Theta Lake product
- Ensure alignment with market needs, regulatory trends, and organizational goals
- Write and prioritize requirements
- Create requirements for features including:
- Cross-Channel Communication Surveillance: Integrate surveillance across email, chat, voice, video, and trade data to provide comprehensive coverage
- AI-Driven Behavior Analysis: Detect and interpret patterns of misconduct using ML and NLP
- Regulatory Reporting and Audit Readiness: Help drive classifier development based on existing and changing regulatory requirements. Enhance compliance workflows and usability
- Create requirements for features including:
- Risk Scoring and Prioritization: Focus on advanced analytics that focus on high-risk activities
- Customer and Market Insights
- Present to and meet with customers and prospects to understand customer needs, pain points, and workflows
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, data science, compliance experts, and the sales team to create and socialize product enhancements
- Go-to-Market Execution
- Help define pricing, licensing, and positioning strategies in collaboration with marketing and sales
- Support pre-sales and post-sales activities with deep industry and product knowledge

Compensation
$185,000/year to $225,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, location and market conditions. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include commission, equity or sales incentives, if applicable. We have these characteristics and like to work with people who do too:
- Demonstrated success in delivering similar surveillance products
- Expertise in financial regulations and compliance frameworks (e.g. FINRA, MiFID II, Dodd-Frank)
- Familiarity with AI/ML, NLP, and data analytics technologies
We’re most excited if you also have some of these skills (or are ready to learn):
- 7+ years in product management, with 3+ years in financial services, compliance, or surveillance technologies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
- Strong stakeholder management, prioritization, and communication skills
