Theta Lake’s VP of Business Development and Operations, Anthony Cresci, joined the RegTech 2019 conference hosted by American Banker to speak about how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing the world of Regulatory Compliance and how it is enabling industry participants and regulators to automate operations and augment human capabilities in address compliance requirements. The panel led by Ian Duke-Richardet from Accenture covered topics such as:

  • AI use cases FinServ should be paying the most attention to
  • What are the business drivers for AI usage in RegTech
  • How regulators are approaching RegTech and AI – internal, examination, and industry participants usage
  • What organizations need to be considering when implementing AI to get maximum benefit

RegTech 2019 provides a forum for experts to share the latest in compliance technology innovation as well as regulators providing guidance on how their examiners will assess RegTech deployments. Banks have been paralyzed in their efforts to implement innovative RegTech—including artificial intelligence, robotics process automation, and blockchain-based solutions— by fear of what regulators will think. This conference aims to facilitate information sharing across banks, vendors, and regulators as it applies to Regulatory Technology.
